Not only is salmon a great source of omega 3 fatty acids that help lower your cholesterol, but it’s delicious too!  Try our heart healthy  Salmon and Asparagus Pasta,  Sole en Papillote (Fish in Paper) or this Super Salmon Salad, super because it is a salad fit for a meal!

#2 – Make a home cooked meal together.

Nothing helps us bond with the ones we love than spending some time together in the kitchen. Our Beet Pesto Cream Linguini is the perfect dish to make side by side.

#3 – Breakfast to-go!

Breakfast in bed is such a nice treat. But if you need to run out the door make our Chocolate Banana Bran Muffins for your loved ones to take on the go!

#4 – Go ahead, indulge in dessert.

Want to keep it heart healthy? Try this Fruit Salad with Mojito Dressing. Yes, there’s a tiny bit of rum in it, but you can skip it and it’ll still be a treat! For a fancy sweet treat try Red Velvet Cupcakes with Cream Cheese Icing or Chocolate Cherry Sweetheart Brownies.!

#5 – Stay active with the ones you love!

Valentine’s Day is about showing your appreciation for loved ones, and what better way to show it than by doing an activity together? Take a walk, go to a dance class, hit the curling rink, go skating or bowling.  If you want to be a little more daring, try something new together.  Go to a yoga or zumba class, these cardio classes will get your hearts beating fast!

#6- Remember ALL the special people

Take time to Remember ALL the special people in your life and show them your appreciation with a card, or quick phone call or visit. Older family members, friends, and caregivers may sometimes be forgotten. Say “thanks for being you” with a gift from the heart by making Body Salt Scrub or Handmade Salt Dough Decorations.

#7- Remember your heart health!
