Chocolate-Cherry Hello Dollies

Chocolate-Cherry Hello Dollies

The combination of a crumb crust, gooey coconut, dark chocolate and crunchy nuts is perfection. But there's something different about these dollies. We switched out the graham crackers for cheese crackers! Recipe courtesy of EatInEatOut.

  • Ingredients
    • 2 cups Ritz crackers, crushed (500 mL)
    • 3 Tbsp canola oil (45 mL)
    • 1 cup unsweetened desiccated coconut (250 mL)
    • 1/2 cup dried cherries, chopped (125 mL)
    • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (250 mL)
    • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (125 mL)
    • 1 can sweetened condensed milk (300 mL)
  • Directions
    1. Preheat oven to 350ºF (180ºC). Spray bottom of 8”x 8” (20 x 20 cm) baking pan and line with parchment.
    2. Grind crushed crackers and oil in a food processor until finely ground. Press mixture evenly into bottom of prepared pan.
    3. Layer coconut, cherries, walnuts and chocolate chips. Pour condensed milk evenly over top.
    4. Bake until edges are lightly brown, about 30 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool 15 minutes. Run a knife around edges of pan to loosen. Refrigerate until cold, about 2 hours. Cut into squares.
