Italian Popcorn

This three ingredient popcorn recipe calls for a good movie. Garlic powder, Italian seasoning and canola oil make this Italian-flavoured popcorn a real treat. This is a Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba-approved recipe. Make sure to check out our other popcorn recipes.

  • Ingredients
    • 1 tsp garlic powder (5 mL)
    • 1 Tbsp Italian seasoning (15 mL)
    • 1 Tbsp canola oil (15 mL)
    • 1/4 cup popcorn kernels (60 mL)
  • Directions
    1. In a small container, combine seasoning.
    2. In a large saucepan, heat canola oil over medium high heat. Add popcorn kernels. Place lid on and let kernels cook, shaking occasionally to prevent burning. When the popping slows to 3 to 5 seconds between pops, remove pan from burner.
    3. Sprinkle spice mixture over popcorn and toss once again.
