If you haven’t been before, Ag in the City is an event that offers a chance to explore the vibrant world of agriculture! Everyone is welcome! So come and discover how agriculture impacts our daily lives. It promises to be fun for all ages!
Friday, March 18, 9:30am-9:30pm
Saturday, March 19, 9:30am-6pm
The Forks Market, Winnipeg, Manitoba
This year, Ag in the City will showcase 23 exhibitors with hands-on displays, delicious food samples, and game shows—you don’t want to miss!
Here are 3 exciting reasons you should come to Ag in the City!
1. Try our Manitoba Virgin Canola oil
There will be samples of Manitoba’s newest virgin canola oil! If you haven’t tried it before, now’s your chance.
There are three different vintages to try: Selkirk, Grandview, and Winkler.
The vintages are the same seed variety grown on three different Manitoba farms and crushed in the same method yet each one has a unique flavour profile ~ terroir at it’s finest!

2. Meet farmers who grow the food you eat
On Friday March 18, at 2:00 pm, you can meet a farmer and hear his stories on stage.
This is your change to connect with a farmer and have a conversation about farm to food!
Meet canola farmer, Curtis McRae.
3. Food Fight!
No, you won’t be dodging any tomatoes cause it’s not that type of food fight. This Food Fight gives a handful of students from the University of Manitoba Food Science program the opportunity to pitch their new food product concepts to a panel of judges—it’s like the agriculture version of CBC’s Dragon’s Den. Catch the action on Friday, March 18 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm.
That’s only a slice of what’s happening at Agriculture in the City! For more information, visit their website.
