Farm Family: The Jacksons

Who are the Jacksons?

Carman & Donna Jackson and their 5 daughters own and operate a diverse mixed farm at Inglis, MB.

On Facebook and Twitter.

What’s on your farm?

We have a cattle and grain farm.  Our cattle operation involves 170 breeding females including Charolais – High Bluff Stock Farm and Simmental – EGC Simmental as well as a Simmental X Red Angus commercial herd.

We also grow wheat, oats, barley and canola.  It’s a family affair.  We farm with Carman’s parents as well as his brother.

Besides farming, what else do you like to do?

We enjoy as a family horseback riding, camping, downhill and cross country skiing, curling and dancing.  Our kids all took Ukrainian dancing and participated in 4-H.

The girls are active 4th generation 4-Hers involved in beef. They are members of the Inglis 4-H Variety Club, where Carman is a beef leader.

What are you passionate about?

Family and farming.  We love spending time with our daughters and sharing our love of the land, animals and the outdoors.

Be Well…Jenn
