- 2 Tbsp canola oil (30 mL)
- 2 Tbsp flour (30 mL)
- 1 cup 1% milk (250 mL)
- 1 cup shredded old cheddar cheese (250 mL)
- Heat canola oil in a medium size saucepan, over medium heat. Add flour and whisk to combine. Cook about 1 minute. Slowly add milk, whisking constantly. Season with salt and pepper. Bring to a boil and cook, while stirring, 1 to 2 minutes. Slowly add shredded cheese, while stirring.
- Serve warm.
Serve with broccoli, cauliflower.
Broccoli and cauliflower would not be the same without this cheese sauce!
