- 2 lbs asparagus cleaned, woody stems removed (900 g)
- 2 Tbsp canola oil (30 mL)
- 1/2 tsp sea salt (2 mL)
- 1/2 tsp freshly ground pepper (2 mL)

Grill Method
- Prepare grill.
- Brush asparagus with canola oil. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Grill asparagus on an oiled rack set 5 to 6 inches over glowing coals until tender, 3 to 5 minutes on each side.
- Serve warm
Oven Method
- Preheat oven 425°F (220°C)
- Line a cooking sheet with parchment paper. Lay out asparagus and drizzle with canola oil. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Roast for 7 minutes, flip the asparagus and continue roasting for 7 minutes or until tender crisp.
- Serve warm.
