Marinade for Beef

Marinade for Beef

Beer and beef is the number one combination. Similar to wine, a general rule of thumb is: the darker the beef the darker the beer. Aside from providing a rich malty flavour, beer also nicely tenderizes beef for a mouth-wateringly delicious meal.

  • Ingredients

½ cup canola oil (125 mL)

¼ cup Guinness beer (60 mL)

2 tsp Worcestershire sauce (10 mL)

1 Tbsp brown sugar (15 mL)

    2 cloves garlic, minced (2)

1 shallot, very finely chopped (1)

    ½ tsp pepper (2 mL)

2 tsp Dijon mustard (10 mL)

2 Tbsp chopped fresh tarragon (30 mL)

  • Directions
    1. Combine all ingredients and marinate a beef roast, refrigerated, for 2 hours.
