- 2 heads of garlic (2)
- 2 Tbsp canola oil (30 mL)

BBQ Method:
- Prepare grill.
- Cut off the very tip of each of the heads of garlic. Place garlic heads on the foil. Drizzle with canola oil and wrap in foil to cover. Place on medium heat grill and grill until soft. Squeeze out the garlic and spread on bread or use to flavour dishes for milder sweeter garlic flavour.
Oven Method:
- Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C)
- Cut off the very tip of each of the heads of garlic. On a small roasting pan, place aluminum foil down. Place garlic heads on the foil. Drizzle with canola oil. Wrap garlic in the aluminum foil. Roast until garlic is soft and golden inside, about 1 hour. Squeeze out the garlic and spread on bread or use to flavour dishes for milder sweeter garlic flavour.
Roasted Garlic
Roast garlic to transform it’s strong bitter flavour into a smooth, mild and sweet base for use in dressings, add to other dished or to spread on bread. Once drizzled in canola oil it can be roasted on the BBQ or in the oven.
