Those of you that follow me on twitter or know me personally, you know that I love to make things and give them away. For me, the skill or better described “gift”, of crafting comes naturally but trust me I know it’s a gift. I’m here to help you let your inner crafter out!
Check out my two favourite holiday gifts to give:
Cookies in a Jar – perfect for teachers, neighbours, bus drivers, aunts, friends and alike. Layer the ingredients in a jar, decorate anyway you like (there is no right or wrong way to go with this part), print the baking directions and perhaps give them a small bottle of canola oil to help them
Salt Dough Decorations – a fun family activity, classroom party or perhaps you want to let out your inner child and make these just because you can. The options are endless, the outcome is priceless and there is fun to be had by all.

Family, friends, food and fun are all captured for me during the holidays. Here are a few of my favorites that I will be making for our Christmas dinner, the girls’ secret Santa party and a friends gathering.

Freezer Meals from Leftovers
I know I’m only having 17 people for Christmas but I’m still going to buy that 19-pound turkey. I want to make sure there are leftovers!
The bird takes that much longer to defrost and cook but once we finish our meal my casserole dishes will be on standby, ready to hold the leftovers.
Shredded turkey immersed in gravy, a layer of corn, cover that with potatoes, and top with stuffing. Pop them into the freezer for quick and easy meals to help get me through the busy winter months. I know we will also have enough for turkey pizza and did I mention the turkey soup? Yum.
