This year, during the season of giving, I’m putting extra focus on sourcing gifts that might not be brand new but are definitely hand-picked. From vintage or unique finds to gently used toys and puzzles, the thrift store is an excellent stop on your gift buying adventures. I love handmade gifts and if time permits I usually sew a batch of something special for a few or bake up something delicious to deliver. What are your thoughts on giving less than brand new items as gifts?

Holiday movies
It is the most wonderful time of the year and holiday movies add joy to the season. We will soon hunker down with good snacks and all of our holiday movie favorites: Love Actually, Elf, Planes, Trains and Automobiles, Die Hard, Christmas Story, The Family Stone, The Holiday, A Charlie Brown Christmas, and National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.
