FUN Fitness Goals
My body always feels it’s best when my day includes some type of intentional movement even if it’s as short as 15 min minutes. In the winter, I like a mix of indoor and outdoor options. My outside winter choices this year have been a simple walk in the neighborhood, walking to the grocer with a backpack to pick up a couple of items, snowshoeing or cross-country skiing. Inside you’ll find me in my basement workout corner taking in a virtual class from The Fitual Anywhere or jumping on our new Echelon bike.
My fitness goal for 2022 is FUN – Flexible, Uplifting and Numberless. Just move.
How do you make intentional movement part of your week?
What Lynn’s Lovin
Baking with Bundt Pans
I am a baking enthusiast and for the past couple of months, I have been having a love affair with Nordic Ware. Bundt cakes were introduced in the 1950s based on the traditional Kugehopf molds of Eastern Europe. My favorite thing about baking in a Bundt pan is the simplicity and spectacular results. Pound, sponge, or coffee cake batter is simply placed into a single pan, baked, unmoulded, and glazed for a show-stopping dessert. I love the classic Bundt pan shape, but the Nordic Ware Heritage Bundt pan is my favorite shape for now. Do remember to oil your pans well before adding the batter. I use my pastry brush and apply canola oil to every crook and crevice as well as the centre of the tube.
As we shared last month’s top 10 baking tools, I’m curious, do you own a Bundt pan?
