My Date Stamp

Date Stamp

Earlier this year I bought myself an old-fashioned manual self-inking date stamp. I love my new workday ritual of picking up my stamp, adjusting the date and stamping my notebook. It provides a moment to ground myself in the present moment of the day ahead and it’s made it very easy to find dates in my paper notebook. Do you have a morning ritual when you sit down at your desk to work?

Take Me Out to the Ball Game

Lynn at Blue Jays Game

It has been a long time waiting, but we are back at the Rogers Centre to watch our beloved Blue Jays.  Baseball signals the end of winter, with hope and optimism of a bright new season. I love baseball because baseball fans – young and old – are so passionate about the game, the stories, the stats, and the trivia.  The players are incredible athletes, hitting and catching balls that just seem impossible to mere mortals like myself.  What other sport do kids and grown adults alike come prepared to catch a ball and take it home as a souvenir?  What other sport has a designated break to stand, stretch and sing “Take me out the ball game”?  And of course, the food – peanuts, popcorn and hotdogs……yum.   It is such a fun game watch and provides the best fan experience.  And you know what – this could be the Jays’ year!

  1. When I make a weekend brunch for the family, I make pancakes (somewhat crepe style) using none other than canola oil.

  2. My son loves the weekend as he can usually get me to make my version of Sausage and egg Mc Muffin – I figure since eggs are out why not scrambled kitchen sink eggs (has a little bit of everything in them)

  3. Bacon Quiche, fresh fruit salad, coffee or tea and butter tarts for those who want to end with something sweet.

  4. My weekend brunching menu is either a slice of toast with peanut butter and covered in fresh blueberries, or a bowl of cereal with 1% milk and added blueberries and banana slices, or eggs over easy, toast and bacon or sausages. I mix it up each day for variety.

  5. My weekend brunch menu often includes either pancakes or French toast with maple syrup and fresh fruit
