Curling: A Sport for Life {Ticket Giveaway}

Passion on Ice

Curling is a sport enjoyed by people of all ages, both on the ice and from behind the glass.  Curlers and curling fans are truly passionate about the “Roaring Game”!

What is it about the game that draws people towards those sheets of gleaming white ice with pristinely painted rings year after year?

It’s About Friendship

Last month I had the honor of listening to Scott Grant at the banquet of the SunLife Junior Challenge in Brandon.  He talked to the room full of elite junior curlers from across Canada and into the United States not about the strategy of the game, or the importance of practice and mental focus…He talked about having fun and creating lasting friendships!  In the end that is what sports are all about, right!

I think he captured the many forces that draws people to curling, and the actual curling game is only part of the story.  It is the people you meet, the stories you share in the clubroom and the relationships you build that carries the passion for the sport forward.

Curling is a Spectator Sport

Get out and enjoy the game of curling today!  Either as a curler in your weekly league, at your local bonspiel or as a dedicated fan in the clubroom or watching on television from the comfort of home.
