Learning on the Farm

Open Farm Day

Farm Family Hands | www.canolarecipes.caOn Sunday, Sept 15 many proud Manitoba farmers will be opening their gates to invite folks like you and me into their workplace, home and livelihood – their Farm!

Van Ryssel Dairy Farm and Manitoba Canola Growers

Join Manitoba Canola Growers as they partner with the Van Ryssel Dairy Farm in the Oakbank area.  There will be hourly tours of the dairy facilities – cow barn, calf barn and milking parlour, equipment and tractors to view and a treat tent on the lawn.

On top of all that Allison and Bill will be there helping you crush your very own sample of canola oil! Afterwards you will earn a canola shopping bag that you can load with recipes and a kids activity book.  There will also be snacks and milk for those that stop in for a visit.
